• Chief CookCommunity Meeting

Thank you to everyone who attended the community meeting with Chief Earl Cook and TE&S Acting Director, Yon Lambert on Monday, June 13th. The meeting was well attended with at least 65 neighbors and friends who shared their concerns and suggestions regarding the Duke/West Taylor Run intersection, traffic volume, speeds and safety. Mayor Allison Silberberg was also in attendance. We are looking forward to working with the city and the surrounding citizens' associations to help improve this intersection and
overall traffic in our neighborhoods. We have joined forces with the Seminary Hill Assocation and
Clover College Park Citizens' Assocation to create a traffic task force to work directly on these
    important issues with the City.

Alexandria Cyclist Crash Victim Needs Your Help

Alexandria resident, MacArthur parent, and cyclist Ryan Brown was severely injured in a crash on Thursday, May 5th. A YouCaring page has been setup to help the family with medical expenses during Ryan’s recovery. TRCA is making a $200 donation to the family on behalf of the neighborhood, but they could still use your help. Please help the family with any
amount you can to defray the costs associated with the accident.

  • Cleanup 2016
    Taylor Run Annual Clean Up

The inaugural Taylor Run Annucal Cleanup (TRAC) was a great success!  In honor of Earth Day, TRCA members, neighbors and the Bear Den from Pack 801 met to clean up around Chinquapin Recreation Center and Angel Park. Several neighbors came prepared with waders and tackled the stream where the bulk of the trash was found at Angel Park - including lots of bottles, a street sign, a tire and a head light!

A big thank you to our voluneeters for all their hard work!

And thank you, to our sponsors who donated to the raffle:
Greenstreet Gardens, Starbucks, Sugar Shack Donuts, Safeway, and The Fresh Market.
