• IMG 5537-SCelebrate National Night Out with TRCA

Neighbors in the Taylor Run area are invited to participate with many other neighborhoods across the country in celebration of National Night Out on Tuesday evening, August 2, 2016. National Night Out is a crime and drug prevention event that is sponsored nationally by the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored locally by the Alexandria Police Department.

Residents in neighborhoods throughout Alexandria and across the nation are asked to lock their doors,
turn on outside lights and spend an evening outside with neighbors and police. Neighbors in and around
the Taylor Run area are invited to come down to Angel Park from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. for a fun potluck
and to meet with local police and fire personnel. There will be food donated by TRCA and local businesses (Rocklands, Zpizza, Trader Joes, Noodles & Company, Popped!Republic, and more), but we ask everyone to bring a side dish or a dessert.
Public health and safety organizations will be  onsite with demonstrations and giveaways. This event is FREE and open to the public. COME CELEBRATE YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD!

  • Chief CookCommunity Meeting

Thank you to everyone who attended the community meeting with Chief Earl Cook and TE&S Acting Director, Yon Lambert on Monday, June 13th. The meeting was well attended with at least 65 neighbors and friends who shared their concerns and suggestions regarding the Duke/West Taylor Run intersection, traffic volume, speeds and safety. Mayor Allison Silberberg was also in attendance. We are looking forward to working with the city and the surrounding citizens' associations to help improve this intersection and
overall traffic in our neighborhoods. We have joined forces with the Seminary Hill Assocation and
Clover College Park Citizens' Assocation to create a traffic task force to work directly on these
    important issues with the City.

amount you can to defray the costs associated with the accident.
